Second time I've seen this guy in the same area.
Sorry its a bad image, light from behind and the edge of the video.
Are these legal in SA, and is the helmet required. ?
Just for interests sake

There is a guy near my work who has a fantastic looking one, I must see if I can see a brand name on it

He just wears a bicycle helmet which is probably law although im sure not enforced.

If I did'nt have my sons CBR125 to commute I would buy one .

Uuuh OK, 66hp is more than my 500. And no bicycle will approach the awesomeness of that. 66cc sounds like 6hp...or less. I saw a semi-electric bicycle in Europe, they are just a rider aid, probably also a few hp just to make pedaling easier.
Current rides: Husqvarna TE 610 (2009),  KTM 950 SE(2007)
 KTM 500 EXC (2016)

Yes, they are legal - not seen as motorcycles.
My son installed the kit into an old MTB and used it around town for the last two years.
Same laws applicable to bicycles, can even ride with it on a beach...
You get a "high-power" carb and expansion chamber as option.
The engine pulls properly and the uphills of Somerset West was/is no problem.
Runs on fumes only--extremely light on fuel.
Sadly, it was stolen end of last year from our yard....

He probably means 66cc?

There are quite a few here in Agulhas, and a few fishermen do the conversion to fat bikes so that they can ride on the beach.
