Had a ride out to the local breakfast stop yesterday. Great feeling to be riding again. Cars turning off and onto the road freaked me out something terrible. It's going to take a while to get over that one. I battle to get on and off the 690 (more than before) and when struggling to get on it to go home, some GS riders stared at me like I was a total idiot  :imaposer:

However, the biggest limiting factor at this stage is the ligament in my left thumb. I can't even cancel the indicator and it hurt badly yesterday afternoon. Offroad riding is not going to happen until that is healed.

Yesterday was fun but I think I need to give it another month or so before I try again.

I know the frustration, but patience now will pay off handsomely later.

13 months later.....

1 year report indicates non-union of the femur shaft and T5 and T7 compression fractures which were missed at the time.

Everything else has healed well considering.

Still not riding though. Partly physical, partly mental.

:o

Non-union of the femur shaft?

The three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40 and a hammer.  If it moves and it shouldn't, use the duct tape.  If it doesn't move and it should, use the WD-40.  Otherwise use the hammer.

Klink my so  :o
