Hectic...
The three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40 and a hammer.  If it moves and it shouldn't, use the duct tape.  If it doesn't move and it should, use the WD-40.  Otherwise use the hammer.

13 months later.....

1 year report indicates non-union of the femur shaft and T5 and T7 compression fractures which were missed at the time.

Everything else has healed well considering.

Still not riding though. Partly physical, partly mental.

Duct tape.
I wonder where that gravel road goes? And that, has usually made all the difference. (Apologies to Mr Frost)

Non-union of the femur shaft?

Klink my so  :o

I broke and sprained my wrist a few years ago, so I think I understand what you mean when you say that you are not giving it much thought, but a wrong movement surely refreshes one's memory quite adequately! Sterkte!

Dwerg, I lived with a non-union after my first femur break. I tried some voodoo medicine and an ultra-sonic machine. Biokineticist as well. All a Waste of time and money.

Go for the bone-graft now, it works properly. You'll have to do the 3 months on crutches again but don't worry - your leg will be brand new. Just do what the doc says and don't put your foot down on the floor, ever.

Don't worry about muscles or strength, it comes back very quickly once the bone has healed. Physio for movement only.

You'll know in your head when it's fixed, it's a great feeling.

Was the best thing I did after limping for so long. You'll get on that 690 easy when it's fixed ..................... you'll see.  :thumleft:

Don't let fear hold you back ..... take it with you!

And the bone graft op is way less painful than the original injury. In fact, there was no pain at all, just the horrendous bruising.

Thanks  :thumleft:

It's a bit weird to see it in the report because it feels ok to be honest. Just some pain when walking down stairs or trying to jog.

@Cracker  Where did they remove the graft bone from? Is that not usually much worse than anything else in any case?

Sounds to me like the same thing that happened to ETS, they forgot to add glue to the two bone ends when they fixed it and it never grew on. ETS had to have it done months later again this time with glue and it is now perfectly joined.
