Hi all, busy testing a XL that stood for a long time. The CDI that came with it was dead, no spark. Just to test I got hold of a cheap unit as per the picture but no one can tell me if it will work on a XL600. There is spark now but I dont know if it's sparking at the correct moment. The plugs and pins all fit and if I ground the plug there is spark but it looks inconsistent, will maybe spark every 3 or so seconds when spinning on starter motor. I know the 650L CDI is different and will not work.
