My good friend Peat had his helmet cam mounted for this on our Karoo Adventure in December 2010. It happened quicker than WTF!

I walked away with only a slightly bruised knee.

Peat was ambushed later on the trip, check that smile!

The most classical thing about that video that Peter posted on U-tube,.... was in the end, where he said "Pirouette by Jaco" :imaposer: :imaposer: :imaposer:

Glad you can out of that one OK :thumleft:

I have been very fortunate never to have had a particular bad “off”. Funny thing is that the worst injuries I got
was riding along relative slowly on Beach Road, Green Point, minding my own business when a drunk guy turned
in front of me with no warning. Sharing the roads with cages are way too dangerous!

Mostly though the ‘ol KLR lies down in a much more recreational manner. This “off” happened at the end of a day
riding 980km of highway to go to the family farm. I decided to spice things up by taking an infamously slippery
approach to the farmhouse. It rained, a lot, and the sheep trotted all over the road surface. I managed to waltz
my way to almost the end when finally I went down. Put a smile on my face!

The GS having a little snooze...
If you can remain calm while those around you are panicking, then you clearly don't understand the situation.

Be careful of the words you say.
And keep them soft and sweet.
For you never know from day to day.
Which ones you'll have to eat.

Shit Neil,... you really did hit that dirt pretty hard. :o :o

I like the way that one of the first things you do,.... is to check to see if the camera is still rolling. What a "Die Hard" attitude :D :D :D :D

Have you got that video handy of that fall you had when you went over that "Cattle Grid", on the second stage of the "Dos Sertoes"?? That too was Frikking Hectic!!
