Wife doesn't want me riding gravel.
« on: October 31, 2020, 10:41:23 am »
So I have fallen a good few times and  the wife has now eventually blown a gasket out of the blue this morning and said that I must only ride on the black stuff even though its more dangerous.  Is she trying to get rid of me or just concerned.   :imaposer: She saw me do a small wheelie last night and it seems to have triggered something as I was lucky to have walked away after the last time I flipped . Your thought about only riding on tar .

Look on the bright side, you’re getting a new bike!
If that doesnt work, ignore the requst for a week or two and see if it blows over.

He's just using his wife as an excuse to buy a Crotchrocket.
Don't dress for the ride,........dress for the fall!

Well, tell her the choice is hers. You have to ride, she can choose whether it will be gravel or the neighbour's wife.
Kom ons maak 'n stoffie.

Some genius somewhere said: "When the lights go down, all girls are the same." Of course you cannot say that about the difference between riding gravel and riding tar .........

Here's a novel idea!
I know, far fetched, unrealistic etc, but still, just an idea:
Tell her you will decide where you will ride?

The easiest or most difficult decision to make

The bike or the wife.

Easy if the tank on the bike is full, difficult if its dinnertime.
I'm sure the sun goes around the earth twice a day.

This isn't really about gravel or tar. Today it's gravel, tomorrow it'll be another restriction.

Find out what the REAL issue is.

She's fearful of something, probably to do with losing you.

Take out another insurance policy that specifically makes her super independent if you kill or maim yourself on a bike with her as the sole beneficiary.

I wonder where that gravel road goes? And that, has usually made all the difference. (Apologies to Mr Frost)
