Maybe Dwerg should organise a ride for us guy's that need to be super careful.

The only time that I have ridden with him I fell x4 times in the mud and he fell x1 . I am not scared to fall but it sux to get hurt .

It isn't that she doesn't want you to ride the bike, it's just that you have shown her (in a roundabout way) that you are safer on tar and she wishes not to get one of those dreaded phone calls. Yes, it is completely illogical as you can get hurt anywhere, but in her mind the tar is the safest option.

That said, if I had to tell the other one to only ride tar he would tell me to get stuffed. I also know his riding capabilities and I worry more about his super kak driving skills than his riding skills... on the latter, he knows what he is doing and I also know the risk associated with it, but I wouldn't dream of stopping him doing it.

If I get that phone call one day I do hope it was on the bike and swift. It won't make things easier, but at least he went out doing something he completely and truly loved.

Okay. That came out wrong. When my wife was unhappy after a small side stand incident, I negotiated with her and the end result was I must go for training. Which I did. And which helped me immensely.

It's just because you like to boast about how dangerous you live and that makes her scared.
You need to explain you've lost your nerve to ride fast and gravel especially.

And when you get home from a "tar" ride and your bike is dirty and full of mud,...
explain how it's so scary because the cars force you off the road and your so grateful you learned to ride gravel so well , because it's so much safer than being on the tar.

Then advertise your bike for sale on here.

But jokes aside, mocking the wife's fear and saying things to make her more nervous are making the problem worse.
And prove you are being more safety conscious and not falling anymore.
