Nice electronics. Not overwhelming but enough to add to your comfort. Easy accessible and simple to operate. Cruise control, road, rain and gravel mode with adjustable traction control and ABS depending on mode.  And then whole lot of trip data. Display info on the tablet is very good. No guessing what you looking at or want to look at. They paid attention when they built this bike.

Was it scary as hell to buy a bike you have not ridden? :o

A lot of anxious anticipation. But it fitted well and within a couple of meters of riding it I knew it would be ok. Like when I first rode my 1150. You just know.

Its a very different bike to anything Iíve had before. Like they say in the classics, its quirky, but Iíll get used to it.

Save to say, Iím in love  :ricky:
I know exactly what you mean. Guzzi's do that to you. Welcome to the club.

Met daai voorsuspensie "travel" gaan jy ook soos 'n gedropte CitiGolf oor spoedhobbels moet ry.  :peepwall:  Maar vir 'n ou oom sal dit seker werk.  Darem meer as wat 'n zimmerframe het. :lol8:

I believe he already has one of those 40 year funds for one of these in his future as well

@Gerrard - Baie geluk, dit is een freaking mooi bike! Mag jy baie veilige en probleem vrye kilos op die Guzzi geniet! Sal hom kom nat maak wanneer ek nou eers eendag in JBay is. Enjoy! :bar:

A few pics from the ride home.

That motor sounds very sweet and the "Italian Lass" is quite the looker. I love the twin headlights, really has a Baja feeling/look, but with refinement. I reckon Gerard is going to take a while to get used to the technology, besides the fact, that he cannot "Tweak" the bike in the garage as he is known to do  8)  :peepwall: :3some:

It will be a while before that smile subsides, so gentleman, if you want a pic of G-man smiling, your window of opportunity is narrow so strike now :pot:

Thanks G for a great weekends riding, you have truly bought a special machine this time, may you have many months of happy riding  :thumleft:

PS: I won't wish you years, as we all know, weeks is a long time for you to own a bike  :lol8: :lol8: :lol8:

Baie geluk Gerrard met die mooi en uitsonderlike VT 850. Dis iets heel anders aan wat ons aan gewoond is. Lekker ry en honderde duisende veilige kilometers.
