Wanted - Suzuki DRZ 400 Western Cape
« on: February 04, 2009, 05:19:33 pm »
Hi Chaps,

If there's someone with a DRZ for sale in the Western Cape, please get in touch.

Also, as there's no dealer that has a bike I can test ride, is there anyone who is willing to meet me who can take me for a quick spin and I can try the bike for size.

Your help is appreciated.

Cheers

Lawrence
p.s. It's been too long and now desperately missing an offroad ride.

And what happened to the silly cow that knocked you off?

Injuries are healing well, although I've yet to see a blue-bean out of the compensation. Been on the Elliptical Pro daily and that's working well.

Just spent the evening at my mate Geoff Russell and now I know where the sand is and when I'm going to ride it.

:evil6:

is there an issue with the DRZ's design  ???

wrt the big end bearing?

do a quick scan on google for drz big end bearings and looks as if there a lot of them that give issues in that regard?

thanks Bob, will investigate that and other foibles. First I need to find out whether, with a 31in inseam, I'd be able to ride a bike with a 935mm seat height. Not often us shorty's get to such lofty heights!

I have also been wanting to try out a DRZ400....maybe for more of a play bike.

Maybe some mods can be doen to lower the seat height??

I'll follow this thread with interest

if newguy can ride a drz then you should be able to  :thumleft:

otherwise some lowering links should be a cheap fix
