It’s only been about two months ago when Mal said the momentum is increasing and now I can say the ball is completely on the roll!!!  :thumleft:

After this weekend we have 8 shoots complete and they are all spectacular!! This little project is far exceeding my expectations and I’m very confident that once the calendar is out, it will far exceed yours too!  :ricky:

So we will keep you up to date and I’ll see if I can find some more teasers in my little box  :mwink:

And bonus it's been absolute fun being involved. :thumleft:
The real trouble with reality is that there's no background music.

BMW 650 Dakar - don't get to ride it much anymore - my son has claimed it
Aprilia Dosodura 750 - My new bike - I love it
Husqvarna 610 TE (Sponsored) :-)

Ok guys and girls we need your help on two very specific locations that we are still looking for, so if you have passed a spot that springs to mind that looks anything like what we have in mind, please post it here or PM me – remember, a free Calendar might be up for grabs!  :mwink:

1. A cracked pan surface with a wide vista background – yes we are aware of Mgadigadi Pans, but they flooded and Verneukpan in NC is an option, but a tad far (even a wide dry river/dam ??)

2. A baobab tree – not the mother of all baobab trees though, we need a reasonable sized one where the bike wont get lost in the tree (we know in Limpopo - but where can we get access ??)

We would appreciate specific location details as well as whether they are accessible to the public or if on private ground some sort of contact details or name of the property it is on etc in order to make it easier for me to get in contact with them to arrange access

Thanks
Misty

Verneukpan might not be that photogenic. it's very flat and featureless (not cracked...)
that last Boabab pic you posted is from Madagascar. You won't find any of them in SA

how about some war memorials? a girl stradling an enormous connon is always a winner! ;D
or go to Sabie and have the model wield a dirty chainsaw in a plantation
or go to the Vaal dam and have the model wear a helmet and a kidney bucket...and nothing else...

sorry, I'm not much help today

We had a meeting last night, and had a few mock-up pages of the calendar... the response we had from the guys in the restaurant and the significant others attending the meeting was fantastic!

What was interesting was that all the guys had different favourite pages, signifying that we have achieved what we were looking for, that being a very different "look" for each girl, portraying her personality!

I really believe that we are pulling together a truly supurb product here!

It appears that we have interest from a magazine to do an article on the making of the calendar later in the year too!  This in itself could be fun to participate in!

So, all in all, we are on track, 8 shoots under the belt, and all we really need now is the last two locations!

Thanks to all the girls that have indicated that they would also have liked to have been involved. As it's looking at the moment, we may be in a position to duplicate this effort next year, but obviously, on a grander scale, with more exotic locations and incorporating more of our stunning country.  And we will be needing new faces!

Thats it for now!   :thumleft:
