Robertson's Lions Ride
« on: October 30, 2006, 12:04:41 am »
Since i can load pics again, herewith the ride rudeasy, gravelmad and me did with the above mentioned Lions in Sep 2006.

It rained and we were the only 3 that pitched.  Same on the droppers and good for the Wilddog guys.

Route took us on gravel from Robertson to Buffeljags, we were supposed to ride some gravel passes later the afternoon, but opted for beer and dryness instead

When you see Malcolm - run...  He's bad in a nice way :D

Another short pass to add to the collection

Some stream crossings

It was raining, but at least there was no dust

Our accommodation

Cheers

Nice one there H, cool pics and all. A little never hurts  keeps the bike clean, dirt roads interesting and the river crossings more fun.  :D

Cool pics and some very pretty countryside to ride through.

Pity about the rain.

Thanks for the report.

Very nice  :D

I always wondered how difficult it is to cross a river or stream
with loose pebbles underneath....It doesn't look very easy

The German couple that I chatted with said Baviaans is full of water,
and the one river they had to cross, the woman made her husband
ride her bike across......The other water crossing they had to do, was
about 300m long

I just hope the water will have subsided drastically by the time we go
