I also have Autopano.  What's really great is that you don't have to sort the order or line up the photos.  The software automatically detects which photos belong where, joins them and sorts out the colours.  I have even tried to trick it by including a picture that is very similar but not part of the panorama.  It created the panorama without adding the foreign photo.  Pretty cool.  Even does the cropping for you too.

have a look at Microsoft ICE , free and works well

I use Arcsoft Panorama Maker that came with a Digital camera years back. It allows you to fine tune the stitching process

Please post your panoramas, and give some info on where you took it, how many pics you stitched together, what software did you use and some of the tricks you used to get them.

I am no expert but love to play around with panoramas.

I took this one of Katse Dam in March 2010, 3 photos stitched together with Autopano Giga2.

LOL.  It helps if you have a tripod.  Just overlap with about 1/3rd every time.  There were actually 18 photos (3 rows of 6) but for some reason Auto Pano dropped one.
