Do it..........I have never been to that part of Wales but it has some awesome places to ride...........don't listen to the people on here telling you to ask for a 200EXC, I had a 300EXC all be it an older one and it is an amazing ride.  And it was often David Knight's weapon of choice.
Sure you can get a good deal on a flight.......look for one to Manchester or Birmingham, smaller airports and not much difference in driving time. Maybe look for one to Cardiff if you can. I come from Uk originally so if I can help.........please ask.

I wasn,t poopooping the 300!!!! just thought that if it was an option???? I used to ride 175,s there, enjoy it...
I know that you were not pooping it........sorry if I gave that impression.

Etienne, I hope you have got the hint by now, GO !!!!!

The only problem with Wales is that its full of Welshmen. Just kidding.

Ive surfed all around the Gower Penninsula and Mountain Biked other parts as well. When the mist clears its a beautiful place. Good friendly people too (if you can understand what they are saying)
If in doubt about the spelling of anything Wesh just add 3 "L"s and 2 'H's and drop any vowels and there you go, you can speak Welsh like the locals.
The other good thing about the Welsh is they like rugby.

Go and have a great time on our behalf. Take photos and share on your return.

Take the oppertunity definitely, would not do it December though.

The mud and rain is not the problem the darkness is. Sunrise after 08:00 in the morning and by 16:00 it is dark again. I reckon you better off to do it either very early November or mid March onwards. January and February is really REALLY cold on a bike + 100 if it is wet. Die is nie die kaapse wintertjie nie boetman  :biggrin:

Fly to heathrow and train to swansea should not be a problem although you probably have to come into London Paddington to go out again. If you do the train thing book early online http://www.thetrainline.com/buytickets/? Do not wait until you are here to book train tickets as they will cost you more than 50% at the station.

NAH - the weather's HORRID always - let me go in your place.... How many paid-for trips can you line up?!!!  :imaposer:

It's a complete no-brainer, JUST GO!!!  Even if the riding's dud, the travel is brilliant for your mind, always!  And great if someone else is picking up the tab on the other end.  6K for the trip you're outlining is an absolute bargain.  Book it on someone else's credit card (sorry - mine's maxed!) and make sure you're going.... though maybe wait for spring thaw.  Winter's extremely cold over there!
