Herewith photographic evidence of the one (and only?) advantage of having tubed tyres as opposed to tubeless ones.
On my way back from Boegoeberg I picked up this nice smiley, with the rim standing away from the tyre.
I am quite confident that a tubeless tyre would have deflated with a dent like that!
I was, and still am, contemplating doing the sikaflex conversion on my bike, but will always keep a set of tubes stashed in the fairing of my scoot!
I always kept a set on my BMW 658 as well mind you...
