Everybody knows, BMW is too cheap ass to supply a helmet lock
on the GS range except for the older 1150's .
So my top box must hold my helmet and other things, which
is absolutely rubbish, exactly why manufacturers add a
helmet lock for bikes, my top box is for my jacket, glasses and pills.
After some searching this is what is available for BMW's.
And in South Africa they have ......1......available at an all
mighty price of R237.00. It will most probably fit KTM or
any other bike as well. Apparently you can also change
the lock set to use only your bike key.
This guy fitted it to his new ADV on the rear rack, where
to fit it on the 650Gs/Dakar is still a mystery I will
try when I get it. On the 1200Gs you fit it on the side.
Apparently, they say, this is so that you can personalise your Beemer. :bs:
