It depends on many things:
Do you want to sleep in the same place (Cape town) every night?
How many km's do you want to do in 1 day, 200km or 800km?
What kind of gravel roads to you feel comfortable on?

I suggest having a read through the Ride Report section to get some ideas.  :ricky:

Cederberg is always a good quicky and never fails to disappoint.
Go to Ceres then Op Die Berg and follow the sighns to Oasis and stop for steak and a couple of dops even stay over, very nice owner and good chance of running into some other adventure bikes. (Remember to fill up at Op Die Berg as next feul stop is only at Clanwilliam) From Oasis I always go to Wupperthal  for a coolie via Eselbank and then onto Clanwilliam for feul + lunch. From Clanwilliam you can head straight for the West Coast depending on how much time you have and what sort off accommodation you want.  (Dont miss the gravel toll road to Elands Bay)

Another nice quicky to keep in mind is Baviaans Kloof. The trip from Cape Town to Baviaans Kloof can be spectacular depending on the route you take and Baviaans is awesome. Make sure you take plenty of extra camera batteries...

Lots of info and better details available on both these routes in the ride report section.  Also put up a post that you are gonna do whichever route a week or two in advance, you might get some company.
DO NOT FOLLOW WHERE THE PATH MAY LEAD.
GO INSTEAD WHERE THERE IS NO PATH AND LEAVE A TRAIL.

Great Tips J3thro, thanks.
I'm also on an SE - next time you're heading out let me know.
If you don't have a limp like a township dog - you're not doing it right. Go back & try again.
