I managed to track down a very hard to find Acerbis Camel tank .... sweet as .......... the other tank didn't do too well after being painted ,,, and i was assured all would be good, the plastic weld around the filler cap was giving up the ghost anyway so i am pleased to find Tank 2.0 .
I am going to have to find out how to line the inside properly this time ... any suggestions?

Hi Tikkeltokkel,

Your bike looks great. :mwink: What or who did you use for the engine spray job?

The crowd in Kempton park here did it .... heat resistant paint ... seems to be holding up well , only a couple thousand k's since it was done , so far so good ...

Powder Coating every time  :thumleft: :thumleft:

A BIG WARNING THOUGH!!!!!!  Make sure you protect the frame number!!!  I forgot and the frame was sandblasted - then powder coated........ got to SAPS for the clearance and nearly saw my backside. Fortunately I pleaded ignorance and the chaps managed to scrape and sand the powder coating off to reveal the number - even though the sandblasting did indeed damage it!

Thanks,

i now know how to change the tanks over fairly quickly so i will put the long range on only for "getaways" . I think the one i bought is a 20l - compared to the skraal 8.5l here.
