Nice one Vaalies!!!! :D

DD - that DRZ looks sweet man ... what did you do to it or is it fairly stock?  Are you happy with the dirtbagz - those smaller ones realy fit the DRZ!  Instead of getting a bigger stablemate for the KLR, maybe I must consider a smaller one like the DRZ :P

I can't discribe the nugget feeling I have for our Eastern Cape Tour coming Easter!!!! :D   These pics just add to the feeling.  Fun, you and Welshie still in for a quick run down and back?

Awesome ride guys...

Killer yes thanks, the bags work great. I have not even taken them off the bike yet except for a quick wash ! Lots of extras on the bike, best bike I've owned to date.

There's not much more to be said but it truely was a GREAT ride...

BTW.. it wasnt a tricky water crossing.. it was a MUD PIT.. so i thought i'll treat my baby to a mud masque....

I was quite far back in the group at that stage, I thought it was great of you to demonstrate the correct forward roll dismount into that green/black stuff.
I though use of the alternative through the veld route was then optimum, but I did offer to help, although you didn,t need it.

My negotiations with the family yesterday don,t look good for Easter, so do not depend on me. But we will see what develops.

The ride was great, but long almost 350km,s I think. The pigs bash plate took another hiding, got to do something before I mess up the sump one day!

First time I see someone taking their bike for a "leak"

April Fools Day eh? Must have seem that once you saw that rocky road and thinking "Only a fool will try that!" At least that's what I would have said to myself.

DD jou Bl@k^%m, you showing everybody my crash, luckily you were to far away to capture the tears in my eyes when I put her down.

Thanx okes it was one of the best rides I had.

We definitely need to look at the Dullstroom one. That Saturday afternoon I was so sore I couldn't walk after 16h00, my back was broken after hauling those bikes out of "Die Hell", didn't know what got into me to get down there, but ya.(Me and Leo discussed Toucan's thread on fitness whilst trying to get out of "Die Hell".

Nice to meet all the other people and put faces to the names.
Don't dress for the ride,........dress for the fall!

Hey Louis that's why I parked my bike up the hill I could see trouble well from a mile away otherwise we would have had some pics of the DRZ on it's side as well   At least you did not get roosted by rocks like Shark received from pushing the Katoom !

There is one other oak I know on this forum (besides LITO) that is definitely crazy and will do anything and succeed, and that is Sharkie. But when I first saw the pics I thought, na, it's not that bad. But if Sharkie battled, then, ye well, show me the man who would do it?

Don't be fooled by the pics, it was tough ! Biggest thing was the size of the rocks, they were massive so there were almost zero traction and the run up had rocks as well. On that rocky part there were at least four falls. Still think it could be done though, Shark and the KTM was already halfway up.

With a proper run up, and some knobblies for grip, it can be done.
DD, when we going back ?    :)

Anytime Shark just say when, I want to give that hill a go. The TA and Wino was impressive, not alot of people will take a TA into that trail  :thumbright:
