Thanks to all who made the Attakwaskloof trip and especially to all you made it possible. I hope to have an opportunity to ride with all of you again.

Just to put the record straight, (we know that Kevin can‚??t ride but) it was me ‚??Gavin‚?Ě who come off the GSA. I would just like to thank all of you who helped and supported me. Uiltjie thanks for all you did for me.

I know that I have not introduced myself to this forum as yet so here goes:
I called myself BMWCTD. This stands for BMW Crash Test Dummy. I have done things with this bike that even surprised the manufacturers and insurers it is so bad that they do not want me to participate in the BM challenge. I have fallen so many times that BM is using my medical records and insurants forms to inherence rider safety and bike durability. Garmen have refused to use my Tracking records.

Anyway thanks to all of you who made me feel so welcome.

 >:D ;D
Gavin, just glad you are ok. that was quite something

In response to BMWCTD tendency, herewith a pic of the nice side of his bike - spot the duct tape holding the spotlight.

Grapgat !

There always are ...

Taken on our 'Hel Trip':

02/02/12 - RIP Glen - the Arrow of Elliot and the little man with the big heart that truly was larger than life.

You have touched us and left us better for having known you - even if it was only briefly.

For grabbing the moment and living the day It's been way too early that you were taken away

I don't know if it is good or stupid (I am leaning towards the latter) but I just look ahead, try and see where I need to go and go for it...

It seems that thus far that strategy have kept us upright and out of trouble ...

I thought that's what we all did! ;D

...
You did it didn't you ?!

:)

The fact that I have a little 'marble riding' experience and is comfortable with that type of road doesn't cause me to not understand how someone can have sweaty palms about it...

The important thing isn't that you had a hard time, but that you went on and did it.

After all:
One man's marbles is another one's sand ...

Ask Trailrider how many women that he knows did that road. I'm pretty sure he'll be able to count them on one hand (present company included).

:D ;D
