Home made reflective paw on VARA
« on: August 13, 2007, 08:04:24 am »
Hi again guys... I recently made myself a reflective paw out of the standard yellow reflective tape used for trainers after hand drawing a copy of the paw from a print on the forum. These are the piccies.

and at night...

Hi Mountainboy... it's actually easy peazy...

I copied the logo at the top of the page, pasted it into paint, printed it to a size that I though twould work, then drew with a soft pencil something like the central palm / paw onto the reflective strip. The toes and nails was sommer free-hand cut with LOVY's sewing scissors. Clean the area with spirits (after a few slukkies) and then stick and run.

I must say... it was easy, but I am impressed with th results too.

I'm biased, since it is my first own bike... after spending some time on "other" people's bikes. I love the Vara. It is great on gravel, as well as fro pillions(saya many including my Lovy). To really go off the beaten track, you will need a few mods... crashbars, bash plate, tyres, maybe even rims. It is a reasonably heavy bike and in that sense not ideal for rough stuff. Strong and reliable though.

people have there opinions tho .

i think the mk1's are the Africa twin's bigger brother .. and its only 10kg's heavier @ 220kg or something .

sure a 21inch wheel would help but hey .. lets see the AT keep up on the tar :D

oh and i love the power wheelies!!
