Indeed, Benoni is also known as the "Great Lake Area" by most brakpanners....

This is the Tschigat (2998m), which we can see for the first time in days - been hidden in the clouds, as we have had rain for the last week down here in Meran/o.
Snow fell down to around 2000m on Wednesday (10 June), and on the 4th of June. But the hills were hidden once again by the clouds half an hour after taking this photograph.

I want to go up this hill this summer, but will have to wait for the snow/ice to melt, as it would make crossing the rocks a little more difficult, particularly as I have no crampons.
My wife has tried to put the kibosh on my solo trip, as last Tuesday a local 54 year-old man decided to slip and fall off the chimney section, when up there with three companions.
He fell 100m and had to be airlifted, seriously injured, by helicopter to the hospital directly below us.

Nice moody pic that GravelFox. Like it lots.

Looks like the area just outside the harbour at Stilbaai?
