Dear forum members, What kind of engine oil - and how much - should go into the 650 Dakar at oil change? Can I use Castrol Power 1, or even Actevo, or must it be a mineral? For some reason, I can't find the search function, because I'm sure this must have been asked before, more than once...

Which steering damper are you buying? Make sure that whatever you get, it is what Scotts call a SUB-mount (Stabiliser Under Bar), i.e. mounted below the handlebars, not on top ... you want the pin to be as short as possible for the least amount of flex. That is what they tell me ...

The worn neck bearings have a similar effect to a steering damper - to a point. Tyres seem to be one of the biggest influencing factors. When my bike was new and it still had its factory tyres on, the thing was solid as a rock. That all changed when I fitted my first set of TKC80s.
