It looks like those bends would be weak points under any pressure like a bike drop.
I also DIY'd some without a pipe bender for a previous bike. Depending on how much you enjoy welding you could consider making angled corners. Also not as pretty as bends but it was solid...
Do you have / had in the past any neck issues?
I've had a slipped disc in my neck and the resulting long term damage from the pinched nerve leads to pins and needles and numbness in my hand when my body is in certain positions - riding a bike being one of them.
Any sort of tightness in the neck...
My old X-Country did this, the problem was the valve clearances. Started perfectly every time after I reshimmed those back to spec. When last did you check that?
I havent dealt with a booster plug so cant comment on that.
Hi all
I'm looking for a decent pair of size UK12 boots if anyone has anything to part with.
Looking more for the rigid enduro/mx style with ankle pivot, not soft boots that are labelled 'Adventure' (eg. Forma Adventures - one broken ankle lesson learned).
Budget is a bit tight, I can spend...
Thankfully nothing as serious as some of the others here.
Fractured ankle (Talus), tissue damage.
Not a particularly bad break but extra complication came about when it developed a 'fracture blister' which developed into cellulitis infection.
I've had loads of injuries over the years but I can...
That they are.
I had a fall a few weeks ago, arrived home and just sat on my bike for a few minutes until my 9yo daughter came out to say hi, I asked her to call Mom coz I think we might need to go to hospital. Not the first time we've had a conversation like this! Super casually she went inside...
The takealot ones fit nicely but are not as good quality.
I had branded Grip Puppies on a previous bike and they didnt deteriorate at all in 6 months of use. New bike, fitted the takealot ones about 3 months ago and they're compressed where they get the most pressure.
I crossed there in February, late summer dry season. It was this full about a week after some light rain, so I can imagine it gets very high with proper winter rainfall.
Looking for: Easy Tyre On Tool
I know these are available at Flying Brick for R1250, but before I buy new I thought I'd check if anyone has a set like this or similar lying around not being used that they'd like to sell?
I can collect in Cape Town otherwise happy to add the Postnet cost...
When I sold it I was very open about not knowing the actual mileage, and the condition of the bike and the fact that I had to do the clutch and valve clearances led me to believe the mileage was high. Maybe I was wrong and the buyer / new seller (he's a dealer) has reason to believe otherwise...
