You will actually be shocked to learn that BMW has a huge amount of gearbox failures..... According to BMW dealer - he 3was shocked that my bike has as much mileage as it does - more amazed that the gearbox lasted this long... my 1200gs has 144k on the clock... Most gearboxes dont see 100k...

HI Guys, very simple answer provided your bike uses a computer controlled brake system. (Servo-assisted) Mine did the same - took it to BMW three times and everytime it worked for a while (couple of hours really) It turns out in order for the servo system to work it relies on a small toggle...

I had one for the past 6 years and is great.  It is not intended to replace your bed - or even on long stayovers your tent and some hard soil....but it is fantastic for short stopovers and light traveling. DOES THE JOB! and it is really small package...1/4 of a standard pick & pay bag..
