Launch of the new BMW R1250GS WC

With the new GS1250 we will just be paying for a lot  of unnecessary stuff that most people don't want and will not use just to comply to strict European emission laws.

Had a taste of the new G650GS yesterday

And then there is the F650GS twin 800cc to confuse us even more....

    got my "new" 1200GS yesterday

I just love my 650 twin.  I have done some long trips on it and my wife finds it quite comfortable (same seat as the 800).  She is small and quite short though,  taller people do complain about the pillion seat

    f800gs kappa/givi screen

I am 1,85m  tall, bought my Givi screen more than a year ago.  It was one of the very first ones and I do have a problem that the handlebars touch the screen on full lock.  New ones have indents taking care of the problem.  I find the screen quite effective and ride with an open face helmet in...

I paid just over R500 for a K&N  filter at Hamman Autorad in Bellville when I had my 20 000 service done last month.  The K&N  is also good for life,  just have to be cleaned and recharged from time to time

    Upgrade? from a 650 GS (twin) to a 800GS

Hulle noem dit jeukgatsiekte.....  No cure for it.  One thing that really bugs me is tubed tyres on the 800.  Two flats on the 650 were fixed in a jiffy.  Thanks for the advice, maybe if I wait a bit and think some more the siekte will go away :patch:

    Upgrade? from a 650 GS (twin) to a 800GS

I had my 650 twin now for just more than a jear and just love it to bits.  No trouble, just plain econical fun with a surprising ability to to keep up with the big guns even 2 up.  Problem is that the  waiting list for the F800GS has now dwindled down to zero and I am itching to make the...

Bike Hitch - Towing your bike without a trailer

Whith a shaftie like the GS why not load the back wheel onto  the hitch and leave the front wheel to carry the weight and do the running.  No wear on the gearbox no chain to remove and it might even improve your turning circle? ???

2 brothers do Baviaans on Vukas

The best part is when you come short.  Jy stof jou broek af, pick the Vuka  up  like a bicycle and off you go again.  Marketing ploy or not ...it must have been fun ;D
