Heimer, The drive shaft was repaired and reinstalled this afternoon. George will relocate to my house in the morning. We all hope that it will last. Will post again.

:spitcoffee: As fellow biker I just like to try and help, I hope he will be sorted today as the mechanic said he will find the spare shaft today. Will have a braai with George tomorrow evening to share some of his adventure tails and will post some pics.

OK, it seems they found one as the police here uses the same GS, I will go and look for George after work to take the mechanic there, so now we need to hope that this one will fit

I have shown the bike mechanics the photo and they went on search, if there is one in Rwanda I should have it soon but I doubt. Let's hold thumbs

Yes we all hope for the best. It's my first time to ride a DR and must say it is light to handle, the central point of balance is quite close to the tank for me, just something i need to adjust too. It needs some TLC,  think I need to replace the CDI box as it cuts out on high revs, otherwise...

Rwanda is clean and peaceful, in the DRC there are some tension still, but otherwise here is the best place to be. The history is a rather sad one though leaving the young generation family less.

6 of the embassy here left country on Saturday, only the ambassador is left, hope this does not have a ripple effect, I have acquired some land here  ???
