Lekka!! I am planning to purchase a set of those LED's soon and maybe someone (nudge, wink) can assist with the install on my TA, in a strictly advisory/ supervisory role, of course... Cheers H

    Transalp Fuel injection problems

Hi, Gigglz Yep, the sensor error could also be due to a loose connection with the MAP sensor, so all sorts of hell could break loose (I think) Essentially, book says: (the Official Herman8r Translation) "If the motor is still running, it is safe to ride." The electronic nannies will disable...

    Transalp Fuel injection problems

OK, so I took the bike to Honda Wing Centurion and explained the problem. "No, sir. We do not have the diagnostic tool here in the shop and it will take a long time to find the error code without it. I suggest you take the bike home and see what error code it gives. Then come back when you have...

    Transalp Fuel injection problems

Hi, Buzz & Bob Yes, I suspect a sensor or poor connection somewhere. Disconnecting the battery and leaving it for a few minutes before reconnecting has not solved it. Maybe I must just have Honda check it out - it is still well inside the warranty.... Thanks H

    Transalp Fuel injection problems

Hi, dawgs! - hope someone can help. My new (7800km) TA gave a its first ever glitch today. After my usual problem-free commute, I stopped for breakfast and then, out of the blue, the FI light came on and the fan was running, even though the engine temp showed only 80 degrees.  :eek7: I...

    Honda Transalp Thread

Excellent! Thanks, guys! Gigglz - I see World Of Accessories has the female Hella - type sockets on sale for R 120.00 each and I want to fit 2 (somewhere) I am not sure how the wiring circuit should work (I want it off when the bike is off and on all time the bike is on - sounds simple, but I...

    Transalp Farkle Thread

...and one more VERY small change... I was not happy with the silver surround around the instrument cluster, so I took mine off and painted it matt black with a plain old can of Lac-R-Spray... CAUTION - if you do this at home, beware the little screw that sits centre top of the instrument...

Mine bought new - stock 2012 model Added: Kappa topbox - budget fare for commuting purposes. Rattles a LOT over bumpy stuff. Kappa panniers kit - useful for commuting as it ads space whilst still being about half a Kia Picanto narrower than a GS. The support bars are a pain to fit (the centre...

Hi, All It is about time I posted back here to advise you all of what the 16T front sprocket is like. Call us Crazy!! But what an ADVENTURE!! - Finished! WE MADE IT!!

Hi, Scrat I read this report this morning between 3 and 4 and it has been going through my mind the whole day. I thought of a thousand replies, but they all seemed far too soppy - I mean, with me not knowing you and being sober and all... I will summarise in two points: 1) You're a legend (I...
