Just wanted to give some feedback: Mike lowered my bike successfully and after shaving another cm off the seat, my feet now touch the ground! LOL
I am super comfy with the 300 now
LOL if only a rack and height transfer could be as easy!!! :laughing4:
I am more than happy to sacrifice handling for being able to get my feet on the ground. Can you give me more info on the shortened linkages? A name or something? Clearly I am not the technical type...
I'm 1.63m and just bought a 2007 KTM 300 XCW. There is of course just one problem: the bike is too high for me. So what I need to do is lower it as much as possible without having wheels scrape fenders or something like that. What I need to know is how I can lower the bike. I know I can...
If you cannot find a lowered spec I can definately recommend you buy one with a lowered seat and order Kouba links https://www.koubalink.com/ to drop the suspension a little. Made all the difference for me ;)
I am more worried about taxis than the guy in his new Volvo ;D
Wearing safety gear should never make you more reckless. I just know that accidents do happen and it is not always the biker's fault.
Why would you think a neck brace lasts only three years? A helmet lasts around 5 due to the...
Chris...then you have not seen me ride ::)

Yep, the HID is simply amazing compared to the standard light ;D
But another question: how do I attach the HID box behind the instrument panel? I don't assume cable ties or superglue is going to work and welding anything there is probably not a good idea. What are my options?
Miles: Leatt brace is like your helmet - how much is your life worth? Unfortunately your head and neck are particularly vulnerable when falling and broken legs tend to heal a lot better than a broken neck.
the_BOBONOB: I am sure that is exactly how all of those scooter riders think when...
Thanks for the reply ;D
Will some sort of protective casing be needed considering that it will definately be getting wet, jarred, dusty and full of mud?
I bought my HID some time ago and not been riding for a few months. A friend of mine wired it up for me, but ended up taping the little box thingy (Noooo idea what the tech term is) on the isnide of my screen with 3M tape...
Now while this might work if I only rode on tar, it is definately...
