@DaveH & @Garfield: good idea about the country roads. I'm in the Southern Suburbs and can't think of any easily accessible country roads here aside from the neighbourhoods - which I'm fine with. Otherwise I guess I would need to trailer the bike somewhere first which is an issue - no trailer...

I wasn't sure whether to post this or not. But here goes... Been lurking for a while and am amazed at what a great community this is. The last time I rode was 25 years ago. Small cc stuff. I'm super-amped to get back onto a bike and have a number of mates who are pretty experienced riders...
