Thanks. I have replaced the bike and noise has gone. It was coming from the driveshaft. Nothing wrong with the bike, they all do that (GSA)

I short shift often, don't see anything wrong with it. If I wanted sports bike I would ride S1000RR. Besides, noise is not related to engine revs but more to particular gear at particular speed. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

They all do it, more or less. I have traded in on new GS 2 weeks ago and although the noise is not as loud, it's there. Some harmonics from the driveshaft. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Famous final words....if done right. You have to be perfectly in sync. More so on shaft driven bikes. My good mate replaced 3 final drives on his K1200S. I have no doubt that one of the reasons was very little use of his clutch. My new GS shifts up and down without a clutch bit you have...

Did 250km today, running her in. Going to get GSA screen, it does make a difference. Otherwise, on the road, GS feels like a sports bike...notably stiffer suspension on the same settings as GSA, probably because bike is lighter and has less suspension travel. Not that it makes that much...

Although it can be done, why would you want to add additional strain on driveline by practicing to shift without a clutch. Specially downshifts. That's why you have the clutch, otherwise manufacturers would recommend that you use it only to take off and stop. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
