    TA 700 Surges/cuts out

Hi Gentleman, So interesting thing started happening to my TA. On a trip through Lesotho the other day the bike started surging. Riding at constant throttle it will feel like the power moves between 1 or 2 cylinders or if you like, full power then half power. If I toggle the kill switch while in...

    KTM 50 Front Sprocket

Hey Guys, anyone has a front sprocket for KTM 50 1999 model lying around? I've been given this little bike for my son and completely rebuilt it. Only this sprocket issue now to resolve. I can't seem to locate one, direct from KTM the answer is "discontinued". :( Thanks,

    Diagnosing possible misfire.

As to the actual reason for this phenomenon I cant say. What I do think though is that it's a characteristic of the TA at certain engine temp. Myself and a friend both have TA's , mine 2008 his 2011. We do our own service and repairs on the bikes, valve clearance was checked and confirmed...

    GPS/Cellphone mounting TA

@ Exploratio - Looks good :thumleft: That's exactly where I had in mind for mounting it. I've experimented a bit with the normal suction mount that one would use on a vehicle windscreen. I stuck the mount on inside of screen, fitted the GPS and attached a string for safety. On my "test" ride the...

    GPS/Cellphone mounting TA

Was wondering if anyone has been successful in making a nifty bracket or mounting for their GPS/Phone above the display/dials? There's plenty of handlebar mounts out there but I was thinking of tucking it in under touring screen? Any thoughts? ???

Rear tyre??? what are you using on your transalp

I've currently got Michelin Anakee 3's front and back. ( TA700) If your riding is predominantly tar then this tyre is the way to go. I've done over 12000Km's on them and they are only now starting to show wear, I recon I'll get 16K  -18K out of them before they are ready for replacing. Dislikes...

    How to modify front mudguard?

So I've taken a few pictures (sorry about quality, bit crap, dirty lens) but you should be able to get an idea of how it was done. Bit of flat-bar and angle iron is all it took.  :thumleft:

    How to modify front mudguard?

Hey guys, I've done this mod on my 2008 TA a year ago or so. Wasn't too difficult , I'd say took me 3hrs to make the bracket and mount PoliSport Super Motard front fender. Looks a-hell-of-a-lot better than original. If this topic is still relevant I can take some pics and post it :thumleft: Cheers!
