Hi ladies I'm sulking cause I can't make it anymore. Work took over (the joys of consulting) this week and my husband and I need to do some serious prep work this weekend for our BIG bike trip in Sept, 6000km coming up. Can't wait. Enjoy it and be safe.

Geez, this sounds like a lekker trip. So far I'm in, def hotel/chalet. I don't do the cold so well. Will do a final confirmation (if there's still space) at the end of this month. Too much to do, too little weekends.

Now this looks like a good idea. I'm in for sure - 18th is a good date. Just wanted to check whethere there will be a meeting spot for all the 'Rapporters' to ride together to ensure that the swannies-in-action aren't missed. Will the level of riding be easy-going?

I've diarised the dates, no matter where it is. Once the venue has been finalised, I'll start consulting the maps and planning routes.

Numberplates depress me. Forever looking over one's shoulder (or trying at faster speeds). Need to find someone who can devise a little electronic gadget that can lift and lower the numberplate with the press of a button (the button being in reach of thumbs).

Argh. Rather miff that I missed out on Sat. Only 'discovered' the website this morning. KilRoy, you said you're thinking of making this a monthly event/get together? Think that's a great idea. Keep us posted.

Congrats on the new addition :) I just have one question.....if a new bike is classified as a guy's new wife or g/f, what do you call a woman's bike? Just need to know how to refer to my bike in future  :P Happy riding
