Howzit. I'm really wondering what the baking powder could possibly be used for, besides the obvious. There has to be a plausible reason dude! Otherwise, the kit is well stocked and will be much cheaper than the ready made kits.
I skeem that everything that needs to be said about the two bikes has been said... except the bashplates. see pic for comparison. Oh, they both crash equally well too.
Experement by patching a new unpunctured tube with what you have before heading off on a trip. Atleast there will be no suprises when you do need to repair a tube. Carry a standard tube as backup as this one can always be patched.
My 800's steering has a notch at dead center. Bike has done 25k km or so. Is replacement of the bearings the correct way to repair this or is there an alternative way?
This doesnt seem to be a common problem but has anyone else had it? How did you repair?

I think this is quite common. I have the same irritating noise but have fixed it with earplugs. Here is a link to something called KLACKSTOPPERS. It sounds like a possible solution. I have not tried them but it kinda describes that plasticy clatter from the front...
