Nope, cables are still stock standard and everything is perfectly fine @ 50mm. Looks like it could even go another cm or so.

Being 2m tall, I've been struggling to get my Dakar ergonomically comfortable since the first day I got on it. The most basic being reshaping the seat and raising the handle bars. I've been warned on this forum and from various other sources that the Dakar handle bars cannot raise more than 35mm...

Hi guys. I put in 35mm risers at a ridiculous cost but it's not enough. New taller handle bars are mental pricey. Looking for any handlebar that is 5cm taller than stock Dakar set. KLR bars  look good. Anybody got a clue? Cape Town area. Urgent.

You have to run up from the back and slap your hands on the tail while you jump on (John Wayne style). That is the correct way. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
