Hi guys, I had success after a bit of trial and error. Stuffed up the first master link trying it my own way. I bent the plate. Got a new master link from Trac Mac for R50 that included the spacers, which is nice. Then got a press tool from N2 Bike shop as Zagster suggested for only R70. And...

Awesome, thanks for the advice Zagser. I didn't know that tool can rivet the chain too. People usually advertise it as a plate press only. This helps a lot thanks again.
