I have the same issue on a 2006 990. I'm the second owner. It was supposed to be replaced by the dealer, but many were not. The kit now cost R4800.00! Lots of info on adv rider, and the H.O.W. Afaik and according to my helpfull local ktm dealer no damage is done to the bike, and it is unlikely...

I found the TKC up front better than the E-07 as a general all rounder, although in Nam at least the E-07 is a lot cheaper. The E-07 rear is the best 50/50 in my opinion. I destroyed a Sava on a GSA in 2500km, of which at least 80% was dirt. Grip is very good, but the wear rate sucks big time...

I will never use Heidi's again. I've got about 7500km on a GSA, and even less on a 990. But for that I take full responsibility. My problem is the grip on tar is on par with a full knobbly, but the grip off-road is far less. So you get the bad of a proper knobbly without the pro's, and on sand...
