I think the traction control on tar plays a big role in not ripping these tyres up.  And I'm very easy on the throttle on cold tyres.

Nope, no mistake.  I had great milage on my Super10 previously and I know the chaps from Dualsport Africa also swear by the e-07's for great milage.

Cool!  I'm good with riding them till they're dead on dirt, but was looking at whether I should be replacing them before the rainy season starts and they get nasty on tar.

2.8 on the back and 2.4 on the front on tar.  It varies on dirt, but I tend to not drop them much (unless lots of sand).  The back has squared off a fair fit. 

I did rip through a set of Karoo 3's in under 5k - great on dirt, but terrible on tar and even worse on wet tar... So at my 20k service a few months ago I was expecting to have to change pads, yet they're also still doing well (the original ones).  So it seems I'm easy on pads and on tyres -...

Yep, 16 500 to be exact of 70 - 80% tar (daily commuting) and the rest weekend playing, on dirt where possible.  Done some longer dirt trips on them also, Kruger fence ride, Memel, etc.  Every time I look at something else, I always seem to come back to the e-07's...  ;D

Hi all, I'm trying to figure out what's "wear bar" on my e-07.  There's a recessed center strip piece and I've ridden them so that the general tread is now flush with this.  Just not sure whether this is the wear bar though...  This tyre has 17000 km's on.  (Sorry, the pic is not the best!)
