Mitas e-07 "wear bars"

Hi all,

I'm trying to figure out what's "wear bar" on my e-07.  There's a recessed center strip piece and I've ridden them so that the general tread is now flush with this.  Just not sure whether this is the wear bar though...  This tyre has 17000 km's on.  (Sorry, the pic is not the best!)
