Seems Burpie has all the facts on Australia on the tips of his fingers, he is probably your goto guy on Australian law, regulations, folklore, etc. 

You can set up your own charcoal braai right next to the fixed gas bbq, like I have done numerous times. And nobody calls those gas contraptions braais, just Burpie in his ignorance.

Attended the first reveal of the Tenere 700 in Australia today. It’s a really good looking bike and the pricing in Australia is very competitive.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder but the non-R 790 is dog-ugly. It looks like a  grossly obese worshond. Popped into the local dealer to book a service for my 1090 and they have 790 demo on the floor. Nonekin’s pics of the 790R looks good and hopefully it won’t disappoint in the flesh.
