Thanks for the advise. I do think this little box controlling the flap needs to be re set. Also read on internet that if the control unit fails completely, the exhaust flap will remain in the open position and should not influence bikes performance, except with low revs torque. To scared to...

OK, so I took everything appart that has to do with the exhaust flap. The flap on the exhaust itself still opens and close fine. Gave it some lube just to be sure. Thanks Hando  :thumleft: But the noise is not from the flap itself. That krrr krrrr noise...she is coming from the unit...

Removed my original BMW battery after 41000km last week  :eek7: Was sluggish with turn over, so I thought it wise to replace. It is a 2010 1200GS. Not bad if you ask me  :dousing:

Hi dogs, I need your help/advice. When I turned the ignition this morning I heard the weirdest krrrrr sound coming from somewhere. Had a look and found it was coming from the exhaust flap sensor unit. Drove to work and about halfway there the noise went away. But when I left work...
