    KLR rotor puller problem

Ha-ha!! No, had myself a long weekend for a change. Still contemplating what to do. Next two weeks I need to put in long hours at work, so I don't know when I will try to remove it again.

    KLR rotor puller problem

OK, so now I'm properly f$%#$ed... Got the puller out, but the rotor thread is damaged. I went very carefully - took me an hour and a half to get the puller out, but still stripped the rotor thread. So the question is: how do I get the rotor off now? And can the thread be repaired or do I...

    KLR rotor puller problem

It was from Fred and according to EagleMike it is not hardened. He reckons it is the first time one of his pullers stripped... I'll try this trick tonight to release the puller and let you know how it goes. Thanks for the help!

    KLR rotor puller problem

OK, so the rotor is still fine. But I'm still in big shit: no matter how hard I pull up on the puller (using locking pliers) while turning, there is zero resistance. The puller just spins freely - doesn't go in or out. Any other suggestions?

    KLR rotor puller problem

I tried to replace my doohickey last night and hit a BIG snag. Rotor bolt came out relatively easy. However, lifting the rotor with the puller turned out to be a problem. The rotor just didn't want to break free; now I have an even bigger problem - the thread on either the rotor puller or the...

Re my back: went for 10 sessions with physio and think it is sorted now. Insurance didn't bother to check. Now I will try to get my excess back from the driver. Luckily they paid, but there choice of repairer was not the greatest. Welshie, I think you are confusing me with someone else -...

    Hydration Pack (Now with Pictures!!!)

The bladder is identical to the "sportmans warehouse" brand. The bite valve is crap - I've pulled the front from the tube several times to "unlock" it by accident.

    Mommy wants a scooter

I always find these "what bike to start on" threads interesting, as many people have many opinions. As you all know, I'm not the most experienced rider out there, so my opinion is just that. I started on a KLR, so in terms of speed etc. it is in the same class as a TA (maybe a bit slower and...

    My ticket was up

The plot thickens. I got an SMS from the owner of the vehicle last night with the police accident report number. So I went this morning to go see what they wrote. And was surprised, as they indicated the driver as a male with the woman as the passenger (in reality she was driving on her own.)...

    My ticket was up

Hi all - thanks for all the good wishes! After a nap this afternoon my back feels worse, and now my upper back and shoulders are sore as well... The girl got out of the car crying - probably thought I was dead. If I wasn't in the way she probably would have killed the pedestrian. I have a...

    My ticket was up

So it was my turn to be taken out. This morning at 7, stopped at a pedestrian crossing (she was already halfway through the crossing.) So she smiled and waved thanks and the next minute her eyes grew the size of saucers. So I check my mirror and all I see is a girl's face with a cellphone...
