Thanks for the explanation, it makes 100% sense. If it looks anything like the old switch on the inside, then it will be a coil. I'll test as you described. I'll use a broomstick to test, LOL.

These are lovely bikes. I searched for about 6 months for 2nd crashbars, but could not find. Eventually I had to put in a special order and had to wait approximately 4 months for them. It was SWMotech and they were around R2500 a set.

Yeah, not easy and very crunchy. Even though it did not show on the dashboard that it was in neutral, I let out the clutch since I was 100% convinced it must be neutral. Then only did the sensor or whatever pickup that it is in N and displayed it.

Is it not burn marks? Mine is a bit melted from the screen. I've seen a few with similar marks.
