Any alternative accommodation to Katse Lodge?

Please help with suggestions to alternative accommodation to Katse Lodge. Not camping.
I heard rumors they are closed for renovations and they just keep on replying that they will get back to me, but never does.

We will be travelling, Sani - Thaba-Tseka - Katse and then going around the Western side of Katse towards Ha-Lejone - Afriski - Fouriesburg.

We want something basic liike backpackers, but are open to suggestions. Preferably on our route after Katse.
