Gear hacks - Tips for you trips.

I have a few tricks that I do regularly, I was wondering if anybody else has any little McGuyverisms to share? 1) Camelbak cleaning kits are really expensive. Effervescent denture tables (the ones you drop into the glass with your false teeth oupa) are far cheaper than do a great job of getting...

    ATGATT. This is why.

I attempted an emergency stop a freshly rained (oily) road near Woolsely and came off today. The chunks out of the road are where I went down, the ambulance is where I stopped sliding. Gear: Airoh S5 Helmet Alpine Stars Bionic neck brace Alpine Stars Tech Touring jacket, elbow/shoulder pads...

    Sandcamp - Tableview

This one time, at sand camp... I ate shit and there was nobody there to film it :) Do you suck at sand? Do you pucker up, grab a fist full of font, do the snakey snakey and eat your recommended daily allowance of minerals in one single, spectacular bite? Yah, me too, but I'm trying to fix...

What car sets off your alarm bells?

What make / model of car sets of alarm bells as soon as you see it? For me Golf Mark 1 Velociti. If I see one, I stay far away. If I see one with mags and stick-on "carbon fibre", I stop for a coffee. It's almost guaranteed that the driver is going to do something stupid.

    Bike Wash - Cape Town

Hi all, I'm looking for somewhere that'll wash a muddy bike properly in the CBD (or near to it). Viper Lounge in Tableview does a decent wash/chain lube, but they stop at 2pm on a Sunday (who's back by then?!) and they're a bit far out for me to hit on a weekday a lunch hour. Thanks, Devan

    XT660Z Essential Toolkit

I was taking a look at the took kit that comes with the XT660Z and it seems a little bit lacking. Having never had to take the bike apart or do any emergency repairs / maintenance, I was wondering if the forum has some advice on what an XT660Z tool kit should look like. Cheers, Devan

    XT660Z in Cape Town

Hi all, Recently made the jump from from a KDX200 to a XT660Z - Am in search of forgiving tracks in and around Cape Town where I get used to the weight, as well as people to ride them with. Cheers, Devan
