Had my front rim replaced with a 525 excel outer rim by Cicel from CPR here in Cape Town,cost around R1200 fitted. Did now 25000km after and no problems futher no dings nothing. That includes 1 Richtersfelt, 2 Springbok and 1 Namibia trip. It is not a perfect fit but can be done and will do it...

For that they can scrape the bike and you get a fresh one. Friend of mine have a dl1000. A few weeks ago the chain broke and did some serios stuf to the engine. The grand total came to R38000. They scraped it and he got a fresh one. That for a bike that were only 1.5 years old with 33000km on.

Mabe I am a kak rider. But 3500km max on the rear tkc. With KTM. But for that matter i never get more than 5500 on t66 on 1150.

I think it is. The rear rim have 2 ridges. It took me a bench wise to get it off. There are guys in Usa that grinded it off,because they thought it would be impossible to remove the tire out in the sticks.

Lito. For the bike you ride you need a bench wise also. Ktm went and made the flat tire expierence more misreble on the 950.
