Chain Tool (Break / Crimp) - Table View

Once the chain is on the bike and the master link in place what do you hit up against? The sproket? I have crimped both pins a bit with ball-pin hammer but not too sure if it's enough. Dont want the chain to come off!!  ???

Chain Tool (Break / Crimp) - Table View

I have just fitted my new DID chain, but it did not come with the standard master / circlip link, but rather the master link that needs to be "crimped". Does anyone in the Table View (Western Cape) area have one of these tools i can borrrow - just to crimp the 2 pins over...just to make sure...

    Radiator cover option?

Interesting comments. Think i will leave it alone for now. Nice front mudguard, Bobnob - much better than the original short ones.  :)

So, i will also now have to look at the linkages...and spend some more. Did you replace all the bearings and bushes...

So, had a look at the hydraulic coupling situation tonight - had to replace it with a pipe & 2 hoseclamps. What happend was is that i have actually cut away too much of the pipe (seated the rings properly etc) resulted in the pipe pushing (where it makes the curve up) hard-up against the casing...

Coolant pump gear failure - overexaggerated or a myth?

Yeah! Suppose you are right - if it does the trick why bother too much about the look. Think i might have to swing over to it as i am not too sure how to fix the leak on the bloody hydraulic fitting.

Coolant pump gear failure - overexaggerated or a myth?

Replaced my waterpump over the weekend aswell - 52000km on clock - x2 gears were in perfect condo. Only hassle i've got now is that i have cut the oil return line + fitted hydraulic "coupling" / connector and it's leaking oil at the bittom end - made sure it is seated properly over pipe etc. any...
