Its A 2006 with 30 000Kms on the clock. As mentioned before, the previous owner damaged the little pipe that exits the fuel pump causing a fuel leak. I've never had any other issues with the bike.

Update: Plastic welded the fuel pump so now there are no leaks. Bike fires up every time. Contacted Yamaha for a new fuel pump... R10K for a new one  :patch: Ordered one on AliExpress for R970.00. Delivery in 40-60 days, will update on how it works once installed. Thanks for the help and...

I haven't tried jumping starting, but it is a new battery that's on a smart charger all the time. So after adjusting the valve clearance and checking it about 6 times, my bike doesn't want to fire up... She turns over, idles for about 3 or 4 seconds, then dies. Anyone know of a good bike...

Thanks for that. I will get a new spark plug tomorrow and see if it makes a difference.

I would suggest you check if you have a spark before checking the expensive bits. Might just be a dead spark plug.

"swop them around" you mean change the rotation? Would be interesting to know if that's possible.

Very nice tire!! As alec says, it does jump a bit at walking speed but it has tons of grip on wet and dry tar and loads off road. The only bad thing is that it doesn't wear evenly if you ride a lot on tar, but I still get at least 10 000km's out of a tire.
