Thanks, superfoxi. There are courier companies between Zambia and SA, but I'd have to check what it would cost. However my concern is that it might be too late for a rebuild, since I use the bike every day (it's my only transport). In that case, is it possible to still get a replacement somewhere?

I'm urgently looking for a rear shock for an '06 KLR650 after mine blew its seal. The bike is currently in Zambia, where I'm working at the moment, but I have people coming up from Pretoria end of this month and in October, who can bring it up. Since I'm so far away, I guess a rebuild is not...

Don't mind the gravel...just want to ease into the more technical stuff (especially further away from civilization and given the current skill-set...don't bite off more than you can chew).  Plus I assume that it will add some nice scenery to the trip.  I remember the road to Bilene being dotted...

Sounds good.  Even if there's sand...well, it's Mozambique after all.  Otherwise we'd be riding road-bikes and using tassels on the handlebars.

Just a quick spray-down (no pressure-washer yet, too lazy to wash by hand).  Maybe next time I'll just stay on the bike, and get the kit cleaned at the same time.  :)

You sure know some weird people, man, if they only change their underwear that often.  ;D Things still good up here, but it looks like I'm in it for the long haul (like 1 - 2 years).  Depending on how my contract will be, I might even sell the bikes down there and buy one up here.  Anyway...
