I just want to get some advice on Mozambique. I'm thinking of doing a trip there next month on a KLR650, but mainly sticking to tar, since I'm quite rusty at the moment. At this stage the thinking is to enter at Komatipoort, and possibly go as far north as Beira (via Maputo, due to the availability of tar-roads). (Some years ago, I've been to Bilene from Maputo, so I have an idea of the roads up to that point.) It also needs to be pretty cheap as far as accommodation is concerned (don't mind staying in a place that's pretty basic). Any advice from Dogs who've been there, e.g. the condition of the roads north of Bilene, availability of accommodation on the fly, anything else that might be useful?
