That is one strange looking XT.  I have a 81 XT that I have retired and plan to restore someday.  Your ride pics have made me "lus" to start today and take it back on the road where it belongs.  Keep on thumping.

I have managed to find a second hand, very used centre stand from a 650GS and want to modify it to fit my Dakar.  Has anyone done this modification that can give some pointers, tips, dimensions, anything that would help to make this as painless as possible.  Thank you kindly.
